The first session was washed out on day two due to rain.

Root was then dismissed by Amir for 45 once play resumed.

Dom Bess at the other end looked solid and continued to frustrate Pakistan.

Bess had Malan for company as the duo helped England take the first innings lead.

Amir came back after Tea to get rid of Malan.

Pakistan continued to fight as Shadab sent Bess back to the pavilion for 49.
